SKANEATELES, NY -- The 2-year-old boy pulled from Skaneateles Lake on Saturday has died.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office says Cameron Kenan passed away Sunday afternoon in the hospital.

Kenan was found in the water behind a home on West Lake Street around 6 p.m. Saturday. His parents told police he was only missing for about five minutes before he was found floating in the water.

Kenan was first taken to Auburn Memorial Hospital and then flown to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where he died.

The 2-year-old is the son of former Channel 9 anchor, Julie Abbott and husband Steven Kenan. The family was at the home of Kenan's father, Bruce Kenan, who is a Pyramid and Destiny USA executive. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
