It's long been said that it is better to give than receive. For nine years, one local non-profit has been doing plenty of giving. YNN's Chris Whalen introduces us to the Impact Project and shows us their latest gift, which is finishing up just in time for Christmas.

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The Impact Project, a local non-profit that helps families in need with home renovations, is giving a big Christmas gift to one local woman. The group installed new steps, driveway, sidewalk, and wheelchair ramp for a Binghamton woman suffering from multiple sclerosis.

The project, which is estimated to cost $10,000 if done out of pocket, is free of charge. This is the 53rd renovation the group has done in its nine-year history.

If you'd like to learn more about the Impact Project, you can call them at (607) 656-9499, search 'The Impact Project' on Facebook, or visit their website, ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
