WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- From the North Country to the Southern Tier, many people were doing their best to avoid the snowy roads Saturday, but FedEx workers were out in the elements making deliveries.
With Christmas only days away, many people are waiting for their holiday packages. December is the most challenging month for FedEx with high volume of packages and many stops that need to be made. Workers say they have to plan ahead to make sure all packages get delivered on time.
"We pride ourselves with being dedicated to the customer, realizing that we play an important role especially in the holiday season and we are out here delivering with accuracy and quality," said Chris Littell, Watertown Operations Manager.
"I try to make sure that I know which area I'm going to first. Which stop I'm going to make first. I plan my route based on where I am," FedEx Ground Driver Tony Shelton said.
Snow is falling even harder out in the Midwest. FedEx is warning all customers if you're sending packages to any of the states being hit hardest by the snow storm, expect some delays in deliveries.
