ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Fire crews battled a fire at an animal hospital in Rome Friday night.

The fire was called in just after 7 p.m. at the VCA Animal Hospital on Lamphier Road.

When crews arrived, they could see flames coming out of the roof near the chimney.

There were two dogs and two cats inside at the time; but they were not hurt.

The cause is still under investigation. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
