BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Voters have given the Chenango Forks Central School District the go-ahead to purchase four new buses. It passed by a vote of 85 to 41.
The district plans to buy three 65 passenger buses and one 48 passenger bus. Liquid propane fueled buses would replace four aging diesel buses.
After state aid, the buses will cost the district $75,000, which will be spread out over five years.
