STATEWIDE -- The New York State Thruway Authority is warning EZ Pass customers about a phishing scam.
According to the authority, customers have received an email that appears to be sent from EZ Pass, but it is actually a phishing scam.
If you receive a similar email, you are asked to not open it. EZ Pass said they only send invoices via mail, and would never send an email asking for payment.
If you have questions about the scam, you can call the EZ Pass Customer Service Center at 800-333-8655.
